A Celebration Of Service

Jordan Farmar of the New Jersey Nets and Friends of Sheba Medical Center have partnered to host an event on August 15th from 5:00-8:30 PM that will help The Jordan Farmar Foundation to aid in the health, hope, and healing of children in need, and assist Sheba Medical Center establish a family activity center for children who are undergoing life-saving and prolonged cancer treatments.
 

Last year, Jordan Farmar traveled to Israel at the request of President Shimon Peres to participate in the Seeds of Peace Camp where children from conflict-ridden areas of the world bunk, eat, and play together to get to know the human face of their supposed adversaries. While in Israel, Jordan had the great experience of visiting Sheba Medical Center, the largest and most comprehensive medical center in Israel, called by Eleanor Roosevelt the "House of Humanitarian Endeavor". This internationally recognized medical center was the vision of David Ben-Gurion and Dr. Chaim Sheba, who dreamed of an Israel in which the finest medical care would be available to all, regardless of race, religion, or nationality.
 

These two dynamic organizations have teamed up to create an event that will support children in need and, we have been fortunate to have almost 100% of the event being underwritten, so that nearly all of the proceeds will go directly to The Jordan Farmar Foundation and The Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital at Sheba Medical Center.
